Once a baby becomes mobile, you will find him or her all over the place, poking things, putting things into their mouth etc. While this is cute to watch and babies must be encouraged to explore in order for sensory organs to develop, they must also be protected from unwanted dangers. The foremost item that parents usually install is child proof electrical outlet covers. Childproofing hazards like electrical outlets will protect your child from potential danger. A simple plug-in is all that is needed to protect an open electrical outlet and make effective child proof outlet covers.

You will find push-in or slide-in childproof outlet covers that are quite cheap. So, make a note of all outlets that must be covered, measure the size and buy suitable ones. Most outlet covers come in standard sizes to match electrical outlets. Push the plug-in into each outlet ensuring they fit securely and a child cannot pull it out. If you use child proof outlet covers that are the sliding spring model, then replace the faceplate once the cover has been installed. If you are renovating a home, you can ensure that all electrical outlets are installed at higher levels and out of reach of kids for added security.

The legacy of Mathis brothers began when Don and Bud Mathis helped with their parents’ furniture in Oklahoma City.  They bought and refurbished refrigerators then sell them to local appliance stores and eventually opened Mathis Brothers store. Don and Bud realized the importance of advertising, so they created a local variety show called the Country Social. This well-known variety show was filled with singing, dancing and comedy routines that touted the Mathis brothers’ ” fire blazing’’ prices.” The show appreciated high ratings and many celebrities.

Don involved his sons Bill and Larry with the store, when Bud decided to pursue other businesses ventures. At early age, the brothers involved themselves in doing everything from keeping the Coke machine to cleaning up rocks in the parking lot. Knowing the business would be in good hands, Don sold the store to his sons in 1988. Bill and Larry continued raising the business, and the appreciation of Mathis Brothers name began to become identified. The brothers retired the slogan “fire blazing’’ prices” and boarded on a new marketing philosophy – “No-haggle sales at everyday low prices.” Mathis brothers started to implement discount value pricing, instead of customers waiting for sale. Items would now have one fixed price year-round with no price increase. Customers loved the new pricing idea that came to be known as “everyday low prices.”

In 1993, Mathis Brothers decided to expand outside of Oklahoma City by opening a store in Tulsa. This store would be relocated to a larger facility to support a featured state-of-the-art inventory tracking system. This system will consequently, lower the risk of merchandise damage while waiting for customer pick-up or delivery because the merchandise will place directly to the storage bin.

Afterwards, Bill and Larry made the decision to expand westward into the California Market with the nine out of ten families that are purchasing from Mathis Brothers in Oklahoma. They opened a retail door introducing the “your style, your price” slogan to California customers. Because of this success, the brothers once again made the decision to expand. The company has now nine locations in Oklahoma and California.
